Sussex Gin Fest 2019
On Saturday 13th July, a celebrated mix of local, UK and worldwide small-batch gin, alcohol and food brands came together to celebrate independent craftsmanship at Sussex Gin Fest 2019. Located at the sprawling grounds of Borde Hill Garden in Haywards Heath, festival goers explored botanicals and flavours whilst specially selected talent entertained in the balmy 24-degree heat.
With ticket sales reaching over 3000, this summer saw the second year of Sussex Gin Fest providing strong competition as one of the largest gin festivals in the country. Glowing feedback and reviews include a feature in Title Sussex Magazine’s article: 11 of our favourite festivals in Sussex this summer and coverage on popular Gin blogs’ social platforms including @the_ginden and @two_gindependent_women.
Sussex brands took the lion’s share of traders’ pitches and a hand-picked selection of other gins featured in various zones: Sussex Gin, Best of the Rest (i.e. UK external to Sussex), Gins of the World, VIP Bar and the Botanical Garden, where food traders and alternative drinks were located compatibly.
Sussex Gin Fest values and celebrates the quality of localised small-batch gin and independent businesses; the response from tradespeople and festival goers alike driving the plans in motion for a bigger, better Sussex Gin Fest 2020.
